Case Study

Objectives

DeVry.edu marketing site redesign by applying a new design system. The newly developed system design provides a mobile and SEO friendly environment as well as WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) compliance inside the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform.

Roles & Responsibilities

• UI design by applying Atomic Design principles.
• Page template and page view design with the new Design System and its UI pattern library
• QA and UAT support during the development cycle and content authoring stage.

• Studied and utilized newly established architectural framework and UI pattern library by UX team.

System Level Hero Template Design
• Hero images refactoring to optimize responsiveness and site performance.
• 300+ images were audited and optimized within 4 weeks.
• Site performance scoring increases as much as 59.70% since site launched.

AEM Component and Page Templates Design
• Utilized both atomic and molecular level components to design all organic level layout components.
• UI design was applied based on newly established system level content strategy and models
• All components were developed with the mindset of scalability.
